 Chelmsford Challenge (January)
This 100km swim is a Swim South Africa sanctioned event and takes place annually during the month of January at the Ntshingwayo Dam and Nature Reserve, 18km outside Newcastle.

Battlefields 5-in-1 (February/March)
This 50km, 42km, 21.1km and 10km run, and 5km run/walk, takes place at the end of February or beginning of March every year and is a Comrades Marathon Qualifier.
