The Ricksha Bus
The history of Rickshas dates as far back as 1893 when they were imported from Japan by sugar magnate Sir Marshall Campbell. This rare mode of transportation has, over the years, transformed itself into one of the unique features of Durban.
Hopping on the Ricksha Bus is a convenient way of exploring the City’s many attractions. Besides the city tour, there are three tours to the north & inland, south and west of the City, all lasting between 3-5 hours.
