Whale and Dolphin Watching
Durban offers a unique experience where, during Durban’s superb winter months, humpback whales make a migratory round trip of 16 000km from Antarctica all the way up to the warmer northern waters of Africa’s east coast to mate and give birth.
They offer passengers the opportunity to board one of their vessels, departing from the Durban Harbour (the Bluff has recently been declared a whale heritage site), to responsibly encounter these majestic mammals in their natural habitat. Dolphins and other marine life are also commonly cited during one of these tours, making it a truly sought-after experience.
