Two young cousins, Louis and Felix ordinary boys indulging in ordinary pranks until they embark upon some mischievous pilfering in the countryside. Stolen alcohol ensures their hitchhiking attempt is successful and they accept a ride with strangers. Their slightly competitive friendship turns into an unhealthy rivalry when they are encouraged by the toxic pressure of the adults who manipulate the boys for their own perverse entertainment with dangerous stakes.
Despite Keba’s best efforts to manage his life things are not going well. As a caretaker for an apartment building his response to a particularly abusive and unreasonable tenant result in his dismissal. His situation worsens after he receives an emergency phone call from his sister regarding his mother’s failing health. He rushes to his family home only to arrive too late. Pleas to his sister fall on deaf ears and he is forced to take responsibility for taking care of his estranged daughter.

The documentary draws inspiration from Aubrey Mogase, an esteemed author and founder of an organisation dedicated to researching and documenting the history of Mamelodi. With his extensive knowledge of the township, Mogase highlights significant local heroes and pivotal moments in Mamelodi’s development. The film ensures Mamelodi’s recognition throughout history and highlights the captivating narrative of Mamelodi’s heroes.
