As the SRC Deputy Secretary-General, Mncube is advocating for change. “I am striving for the involvement of students who are living with disabilities in every sphere in our institution so that their voices will be heard, and that they be part of every decision-making board,” he said.

Mncube’s background played a huge role in his political position as he had been brought up with the ideology from a young age and it is also due to some of his family members being part of the political arena.
“As the Deputy Secretary-General, I am more focused on the administration and information security and conserving frequent communication with our stakeholders (students and management),” said Mncube.
He shared that his ambition for the SRC is to see them as the council advocating for ENVISION2030 Living Values, while ensuring that no student is left behind and making sure that the system is operating in a productive way for students.
Mncube further explained that challenges he currently faces are balancing his academics and his SRC duties as they come with loads of work. However, he was grateful for the appointment of
