PRICELESS MOMENT FOR NOLWAZI NDLELA WHO BAGGED 20 DISTINCTIONS IN HER DIPLOMA IN PR
It was a moment of pride for Nolwazi Ndlela from Imbali in Pietermaritzburg who has displayed a remarkable performance in her academics. She bagged 20 distinctions for her Diploma in Public Rations and Communications Management.
Ndlela lit up the stage with a smile celebrating her milestone at the Durban University of Technology (DUT)
Autumn Graduation ceremony held at the Olive Convention Centre on Monday, 27 May 2024.
The elated Ndlela who, reflecting on her outstanding success, shared that it was a dream come true.

“To live my dream, I chose Public Relations so that I could gain a wide range of skills, including communication,’’ she added.
The DUT ENVISION2030 Living Values and Principles that Ndlela associates herself with most was commitment. “Commitment in my academics also contributed to my personal growth, it brought a sense of accomplishment,’’ she said.
She is currently doing her Advanced Diploma in Public Relations. She aims to work in diverse industries to gain a broad understanding of how the Public Relations functions. She wants to become a trusted advisor in an organisation and influence key decisions that impact the organisation’s reputation and success.
Ndlela shared her advice to first-year students: to make friends with intelligent people.That way, they will also do well in their academics and stay focused.

“I am over the moon that I graduated cum laude. It was indeed a dream come true because I had been striving to excel in my academics since my second year. I never believed I could do so well in my academics until I saw my first-year results.That was when I knew that I was capable, so I persevered,’’ she said.
Her journey began in 2021, and since then she had told herself that she would leave a mark and make her parents proud. Enrolling in Public Relations was always a dream for Ndlela as she aspires to become a public figure. In the future, she sees herself as the public face of international companies.
