* 30 participants were enrolled in a production skills programme held in Nongoma under Zululand District Municipality.
• 30 participants completed an NQF 5 Film and TV Learnership Programme (Mbazwana), of which one participant had disabilities.
• 17 participants completed a Digital Entrepreneurship Programme.
• 10 participants completed an Animation and VFX internship (MICT SETA Funded). Katanimate Animation Studios (a client at the Cluster) was appointed as the service provider.
• 10 participants completed the Location Scouting Training Programme (MICT SETA Funded) and Work Readiness programme.
• 23 completed NQF Level 5 Film and TV Learnership Programme (MICT SETA Funded)– Groutville
• 27 participants completed the NQF 4 Film and TV Learnership Programme (UMzimkhulu)
The Film Industry Transformation
Initiative (FITI)
The Film Industry Transformation Initiative (FITI) aims to provide practical on-set and location skills to KZN graduates.
It’s also important to mention that during the financial year, the entity developed an Animation Strategy. The strategy seeks to promote and encourage a thriving culture of animation throughout the province.
