8. Secretary
Statucor (Pty) Ltd provided secretarial services until June 2020 for the period under review and the new company secretary Ayanda Manqele with effect from July 2020 until September 2020. The new company secretary is Aneesa Ahmed with effect from December 2020.
9. Members meetings
Chairperson and Chief Executive Officer
The Chairperson is a non-executive and independent Board Members as defined by the PFMA and the King Code of Good Corporate Governance.
The roles of Chairperson and Chief Executive are separate, with responsibilities divided between them, so that no individual has unfettered powers of discretion in line with the Board’s Charter.
Board meetings
The Board Members are scheduled to meet at least four times per annum. Non-executive Board Members have access to all members of management of the entity. 5 Board meetings, 2 board meetings with Audit and Risk committee, 2 Joint Board meetings with Tourism KwaZulu-Natal Board and 1 Strategy meeting.
