* NOTE 1: Preference will be given to 1st, 2nd and 3rd choice applicants. The closing date for this programme is 30 September. We regret that applications received after this date cannot be considered. Students are required to undergo clinical training/placements at training sites outside Durban (some of which may be in rural KZN) as part of their mandatory HPCSA/SAPC/SANC clinical training. Such placements are compulsory, non-negotiable, may be on rotational and/or longitudinal basis and may be extended up to a year or longer. Whilst the University/College of Health Sciences will provide clinical training in collaboration with the KZN Dept of Health, in line with UKZN regulations, students are responsible for the cost of travel, accommodation and the basic costs of living, as applicable to and in the placement site.
* NOTE 2: First preference will be given to applicants who never studied previously at any other university. Applicants will only be considered if they place this programme as choice 1, 2 or 3. Minimum 28 points excluding LO. Ranking criteria applies. Applicants will be subjected to entrance tests and are required to submit a portfolio, the details will be provided by the Department. Shortlisted candidates will be invited to an interview. Applicants must be 18 or older in 2023 and be physically fit. Applications received until 31 August will be considered.

Applicants may be required to write an entrance test, visit clinical training centres and spend at least 8 hours in the discipline specific department (Proof of letter from the Head of Department is required) and attend interviews prior to final acceptance into the radiography programme.
