* NOTE 1: First preference will be given to applicants who never studied previously at any other university. Prospective applicants that qualify for diploma study at an institution of higher learning (Diploma Pass) but do not meet the departmental Maths and/or Phys Sci requirements may present the following N4 with a 50% pass in four relevant subjects including Maths and Eng Sci and one of the combinations: Building and Structural Construction OR Building and Structural Surveying. The above are all to be passed, in the maximum of two sittings, with a minimum of 60%. The NSC subject Mathematical Literacy will NOT be accepted as a substitute for the NSC subject Mathematics. Students will then be ranked, alongside the NSC students, according to the sum of their marks for N4. Meeting the minimum admission requirements does NOT guarantee selection.
