empathy and understanding, allowing him to support his team effectively. Each day, he works tirelessly to empower his team and facilitate refugees’ integration into new communities, providing comprehensive support to help them build stable and fulfilling lives.
Justin’s approach to his work and community involvement is profoundly influenced by Sergio Vieira de Mello, a figure he deeply admires. De Mello’s radical approach and willingness to bend the rules to support those in need resonate with Justin. A sign in his office reading “What would Sergio do?” serves as a constant reminder to make tough decisions with compassion and integrity.
Outside of his professional life, Justin finds joy in collecting art. His collection, known as The Justin Bibee Collection, spans continents and centuries, featuring sculptures, masks, prints, jewellery, weapons, and clothing from Africa, Asia, Oceania, and the Americas. Opening his collection to the public in 2020 was a significant milestone, allowing museums, galleries, and educational institutions to borrow these treasures and explore our global cultural heritage.
Justin is also deeply committed to supporting education, particularly in regions affected by Taliban rule. Serving on the board of BalePravaaz and involved with Sabawoon Education Academy, he strives to provide education and scholarships to girls in Afghanistan and Pakistan, enabling them to escape challenging circumstances. His dedication to supporting refugees in achieving their educational goals is a testament to his commitment to making a positive impact.
For today’s youth, Justin offers a message of determination and passion. Reflecting on his childhood dream of becoming a professional baseball player, he encourages young people to chase their dreams with perseverance and a positive mindset. “Do exactly what you want to do,” he advises.“Don’t let others’ doubts or the fear of failure hold you back. Believe in your potential and stay dedicated to your goals.”
Justin’s work in peacebuilding and refugee resettlement touches lives and fosters a sense of global interconnectedness.
