30. Irregular expenditure (continued)
Cases of irregular expenditure incurred in the current period
During the year under review 10 transactions were identified as irregular in nature. R1.663 million related to non-compliance with the 2022 PPPFA Regulations and R0.663 million related to payments made to suppliers that exceeded the approved contract. The assessment and determination was concluded for all these transactions in accordance with the Irregular and Fruitless Expenditure Framework.
