Marketing and Tourism Development Committee
The Committee oversees strategic programmes and special projects in the organisation. It also assists the Board in ensuring that appropriate tourism research, as well as technical programmes are undertaken and managed effectively, including those related to infrastructure recapitalisation. The Committee also oversees matters related to environmental sustainability.
The Committee held five scheduled meetings during the 2023/24 financial year and one special meeting was held. The meetings were held on 21 April 2023; 26 April 2023; 10 July 2023; 29 November 2023 and 07 February 2024. The membership and attendance of committee meetings are reflected in the table below:

Convention Bureau
The Committee oversees the establishment of industry collaborations and participation, industry participation in terms of corporative programmes to maximise the positioning of KZN as preferred business events destination. The Committee also oversees matters related to environmental sustainability. The Committee held four meetings during the 2023/24 financial year and no special meeting was held. The meetings were held on 20 April 2023; 11 July 2023; 23 November 2023 and 5 February 2024. The membership and attendance of the committee meetings are reflected in the table below:
