development goal (5) of Gender Equality and Parity is well documented. Events of the last 18 months has not only reinforced this central focus but highlighted the need through research and evidence-based findings that women globally and Africa especially, continue to contend with various man-made and societal barriers. AWLO’s executive leadership and board of trustees including its HeforShe Ambassadors want to change that. This renewed strategic thinking is the reason why and how we have developed the idea and concept of the visionary multipurpose complex in 3-D pictures.
AWLO is actively looking to secure its own land with a view to commence building of what is both futuristic and fit-for-purpose in line with our vision.
AWLO’s Multipurpose complex will comprise of the following based on extensive discussions with our architects and collaborators:
1. Conference Hall (1000 capacity)
2. 5 breakout Meeting rooms ( 100 per room)
3. Library
4. 6 office rooms
5. Canteen
6. A studio for AWLO TV/Radio station
7. A field for sports activities, a fitness gym and a
swimming pool.
8. Guest house for conference delegates and
corporate organisations
9. SKILLS Development and Acquisition Centre
where new learning, coaching, entrepreneurship training will take place under supervision AWLO strongly believes in the African proverb, If you want to go fast, go alone. If you want to go far,
