Africa’s democratic dispensation in 1994. Premier Dube- Ncube is an activist of the African National Congress (ANC), a daughter, wife, and mother whose passion lies in honouring the contribution of women towards nation-building and the country’s transformative agenda. The famous Dumisani Makhaye Highway of Kwa-Mashu is named after an uMkhonto weSizwe (MK – Spear of the Nation ANC’s liberation army) armed struggle veteran Dumisani Makhaye.
