   HERITAGE STREETS OF KWA-MASHU 41
 A-Section Street Names: Ekuthuleni
It is very interesting that A-Section street names are of “izenzo Ezinhle” (good deeds), in contrast to what the hostel is famous for. Their street names called “Phumula” (rest), “Ukuthula” (peace), “Jabula” (be joyful), “Isivumelwano” (agreement), “Ntokozo” (happiness) and “Moyamnandi” (full of respect).
The daily life of the hostel includes Zulu dancing, especially during weekends – where one could witness many ingoma dance styles associated with rural areas where each group is from. For example, you could witness dance styles such as “umzansi”, “ushameni”, “isigenyane”, “isikhuze”, “isichunu”, etc. There are also lots of creative entrepreneurship activities ranging from traditional healing, “shisanyama” (barbequed meet from slaughtered cows), diverse traditional crafts, hair cutting, taverns, and of course the beer hall (ematsheni). The famous stadium Rotary is also based in Section-A. Also part of the hostel is “KwaMaGenqe” a Corobrick men’s residence for factory workers.
The King Shaka’s uMbelebele Kraal is also inside A section.
