Status
• Protected areas – no viable subpopulations known to occur in protected areas. However:
• The number of viable subpopulations potentially present in one contiguous area of potentially suitable habitat is one, being the Silverglen Nature Reserve and adjacent areas.
• Municipal, private and communal land – there is no known viable subpopulation in any single contiguous area of suitable habitat.
• The area of suitable habitat required for a viable sub- population at Chameleon Park and connected areas
(582 ha) is not present. The total connected area of suitable habitat at Chameleon Park and adjacent areas is calculated to be 47.83 ha.
• Chameleon Park – population estimated to be 71 adults at the time of monitoring. Numbers fluctuate somewhat, particularly in response to management interventions.
