Welcome back to another edition of Pipeline! It’s hard to believe that it’s been almost 15 months since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, and we first deployed much of our workforce home. Here we are today preparing to bring everyone back throughout the month of July. I’m incredibly appreciative for everyone’s diligence to safety to protect our workforce, our families and our customers.
Not lost in this time, however, the BWL also rolled out a brand- new Customer Information System (CIS)—a major upgrade to the legacy system that had been in place for over 30 years. Read more about all the great things the upgrade will deliver to our customers later in this edition.
Later in this edition, read more about Christine Fisk’s experience at the BWL and her role in launching the new CIS system, as well as Human Resources Executive Director Lynnette Keller’s perspective on diversity.
Finally, mark your calendars for the BWL Golf 4 Charity and BWL 5K events happening this summer! Whether you’re interested in participating or volunteering, these events are a great way to see some coworkers you may not have for quite some time, while also serving our customers.
The BWL is on its way to becoming the Utility of the Future, and it’s because of the strength and commitment of our workforce. I’m so proud to work for the BWL.
