The difference is that they don’t get new windows.... they only agree to spend the $38,250 on their utility bill. It doesn’t make sense to me. What do you think?”
WHAT ALTERNATIVES DO YOU HAVE?
Some folks do nothing. Not only do they end up with BIG utility bills and no new windows, look at the problems they hang on to as well:
• Windows that don’t operate well and keep getting older and harder to open and close!
• Unwanted drafts! Drafts cost you money all year round. They cause you to be cold in winter and hot in the summer.
• Condensation!
• Constant maintenance! Painting, puttying and glass replacement!
• No free time to have fun! They’re making repairs!
• In some cases, pour security and multiple safety problems for their family!
• Cleaning that is unsafe and a lot harder than it has to be!
• Inadequate insulation against both heat and cold... still throwing money out the window!
• And, of course, continued
High Energy Bills... that will keep rising!
OR YOU CAN MAKE A WINDOW PURCHASE!
Let’s take a closer look at what this means.
STEP 5 – FRAME ALTERNATIVES
Let me break down the two main parts of the window’s construction:
The first part is the frame material from which the window is made. The second part is the glass.
Taking a look at frame alternatives: A. METAL/ALUMINUM
Metal has some good qualities and some major bad qualities too!
• It never needs painting!
• Unlike wood, it will last a very long time! • Metal, aluminum or steel, is very strong!
But metal has one very bad quality! It tends to transfer the heat and cold through the frame. It can sweat and freeze in winter climates and it transfers heat through 13% (the frame) of the window opening. That can be costly.
And they aren’t cheap! A metal storm costs $150 or more and a commercial grade metal prime window can get you into more than a $1,200 investment.
B. WOOD
Ask the qualifying question:
“Since we’re shopping, let me ask you this: ‘Would you ever, at any price, want to put a cold sweating metal window in your home?”
[Be sure to always wait for customer response]
Wood frames have been around along time...Long enough to rot!
The reason they are not used for
replacements is that they are rarely
custom sized. They’re mostly used
in new construction where custom
sizes are not needed. Even there, they are being replaced by today’s low-maintenance materials.
Knowledge Is A Valuable Tool!
The sale is the natural conclusion to the successful completion of these ten steps.
