 STEP 7-
PRODUCT DEMONSTRATION
NONE OF OUR COMPETITORS HAVE THIS. When tested at 180 to 200 mph our glazing bead stays in place. The competition puts their glazing bead to the outside because they know that under those mph forces their method would blow in. Plus they use a tape or a silicone to glue the sash in place (referred to as wet glazing). They use the glass as a ”brace” for the sash because they know the all vinyl construction is too weak. “Scary isn’t it?” 99% of all vinyl windows manufactured today uses this wet-glazing method because it is cheaper and easier to make. In addition their wet-glazing method makes unwanted intrusions exceptionally easy.”
“Moving to the next critical sealing area of the window, let’s look at the meeting rail on the BRISTOL window.
CHECK OUT THE INTERLOCK AT THE MIDDLE!
“As a second seal in this critical area we include a line of wool pile that gives a gasket-like seal right along the interlock.”
Test Interlock by inserting a sheet of paper. A crisp dollar bill works nicely. Then close the window. Open the window again, and
pull out the piece of
paper or dollar bill. It
will be folded into a “Z”
shape. Say: ”This is how
our window design traps
your energy dollars, and keeps from escaping to the outside.”
“And don’t forget the strength of the reinforced vinyl.. No bowing sash rails; designed to be strong as steel but no conducting of cold.”
“The result is a meeting rail that really does its job. Keeps weather out and energy in. That’s why Bristol gives you a written pledge that our windows will save you money. In many cases enough to pay for the windows in a short time.”
Cheap windows can’t compare.
CHECK OUT THE TOP –THE HEADER:
• Deep Top Channel
• Wool Pile in Channel ON TWO SIDES.
• HDR reinforcement
• Sash seats into head 3/4”
“Let’s take a look at the
channel where the top
sash closes. Notice how
deep the channel is. If you
feel inside the channel you will feel two engineered features.
    • Deep Interlock THAT GOES WALL TO WALL. • COMPLETE “Z” KNIFE-EDGE STYLE
• Wool Pile
• Reinforced with HDR
SHOW INTERLOCK SECTION ON YOUR SAMPLE.
Look at this deep interlock where the top sash ‘locks’ into the bottom sash. Some windows on the market eliminating this section to save on cost. In addition our competition can not provide a full side to side interlock because of the cheaper design construction that they use.
 Knowledge Is A Valuable Tool!
The sale is the natural conclusion to the successful completion of these ten steps. 63
