Coming off a terrific season the year before, the Varsity Golf Team of 1985-1986 not only met the challenge of the previous year, but far exceeded expectations. The young team boosted a record of
16-3. Under the leadership of Coach Bob Campbell the team excelled in all areas.
The Brothers only defeats came from two strong teams: James- ville-Dewitt and Cortland. Victory in the title matches eluded the team, but enabled two players, Tom Knych and Marty Nowicki,
to enter the sectionals.
Considering the fact that the Golf Team is very young, we look forward to an exciting and suc­ cessful season. We are proud of the golfers and the outstanding play of Tom Knych, Marty Nowicki, Tom Benzel and Joe Sweet. The Brothers anticipate championships in both the title matches and sectionals next sea­ son. With the quality of the play­ ers, we agree.
