The Ski Club battled the cold weather week in and week out to do what they love to do, ski. De spite subzero temperatures and blizzardly weather the ski club filed on the bus each week for the trip to Labrador.
Mr. Fix, this year’s Ski Club moderator led his fearless bunch of skiers to the slopes. He, too, is an avid skier. Once they arrived
they would ski almost the whole time they were there. There a few other attractions besides skiing such as picking up “snow bun nies’’ wherever they be, in the lodge, in a snowbank, on a chair lift, etc. There were occasional pit- stops in the lodge where they would fill up on Labrador’s expen sive food. Pizza parties were also among the many things to do. Ski ing was what they had gone there to do and ski they did from morn ing to the late hours of the even ing.
When the day was done and the action was pretty much over, the skiers would move into the lodge before they went home. Here they would tell stories of the day’s events: the fantastic jumps they made, the gorgeous girls they skied with, how many runs they made, and all the other things ski ers talk about. After a long and tiring day they packed up their
gear and went home.
