It Is an Academic Question for Hi-Quiz Team
The call for volunteers went out in September. Two more people were needed to complete CBA's Hi-Quiz Team — Jack Zallnick and Lee Jer ry were the encumbents. (Hi-Quiz be ing the TV show where local high school students compete academi cally). Lots of hopefuls hit the library for six pages of questions ranging from “WhatisDoNacimento'spopu lar name’’ (Pele) to “ What remained in Pandora’s box after she let out all the plagues and sorrows’’ (Hope). Highest scorers were Mike Lombardi and Andy Spina. Practice sessions followed — mock matches with sta plers and spoons in lieu of real buzz ers and Mrs. S ’s Mamba’s for brain food. Then came the real meet (against last year’s winners) and the impossible — we lost. It was all over except the memories — and HOPE for next year!
