Coach John Leonard's Brothers coasted to their
second straight league crown in swimming this
year. Racking-up a perfect 10-0 league record,
CBA's mermen were never routed.
However, non-league meets proved to be
CBA's undoing. After an impressive win against
Utica — Notre Dame, the swimmers lost a
heartbreaker to state-ranked Vestal. Later in the
year, the state's number one team, Liverpool,
trounced the mermen. State-ranked Rome Free
Academy did a similar job.
Coaches john Leonard and lack Hyde are opti
mistic about the future. Losing only four sen
iors to graduation, the nucleus of the team is
the sophomore class, with ten swimmers. CBA
will be out to improve upon this year's 11-3
mark next year .. . Liverpool is already shaking!
