Mock Trial Brings Brothers Excellence
“ Guilty or Innocent’’ may be the question in many trials, but in the realm of mock trial it is a matter of staging the most realistic court case. Although the accused if prov en guilty does not go to jail, he must work long and hard to comprehend his testimony. Mock Trial involves role playing in which students be come Lawyers, defendants, and prosecuters. It involves a lot of work after school with moderator Mr.
Into the Courtoom.
Marty Manning.
All the teams efforts were effec
tive. The team kicked off the year with two consecutive wins over Mar- cellus and ESM. All tournaments were held at Cicero-North Syracuse. This was where CBA dominated the field. Names such as John Hughes, Tom Dadey, and Pat Donegan brought the realism the team needed for victory. Affadavits were gone over and over. Theories organized
onthepartsofboththedefenseand prosecution, and finally the summa tion and wrap up, were what was involved.
The team did a great job in the 1986 year and show great promise for the future. Whether a question of
principle or a question of law, the Brothers Mock Trial showed it’s pride.
