Beyond Numbers
he year 1993 marked the best season that
the Varsity Softball team has had. Fin
Tishing with a record of 14-7, the girls
made sectionals for the first time ever. Under the
leadership of Coach McCullough, the team mem
bers developed not only the skill necessary to suc
ceed but also the friendships and the team spirit
that has made them champions. No matter what
their record says, this team is number one.
Sometimes it’s very diffi cult to stop ground balls that come to you at fast speeds. This player finds it especially difficult to reach down for the ball.
Coaches can give the wis est advice if one only will listen to them. Here the team displays their knowl edge of this.

Mr. Charles and the support of team captains Erin
Sorrell and Laura Hickson. They hope in the future
