t is not easy to remain on top. Yet CBA has man
failed to give their best efforts to their goals. Personal
rewards were celebrated as much as triumphs.
On another level, camaraderie among students and
faculty made C B A a closeknit community. Special events
centered on uniting students and others alike. Masses,
retreats, dances, trips, and even classes contributed to
this effect by including all those present. Occasions such
as these allowed friendships to grow, and provided both
students and faculty with the opportunity to better un
derstand each other. N o other school in this area could

can be found with a quick glance inside the school,
among the members of its community.
Mr. Mitchell, the new Vice Principal, continued the
work of his predecessor, Br. Michael. He participated
in more than the necessary aspects of student life; often,
Mr. Mitchell could be found participating in activities,
such as Black History Month and Yearbook. He also
spent long hours after the day’s end working inside the
school.
Another new member who contributed to C B A ’s well
being was Miss Whyte, the Vice Principal of the Junior
High. She brought strict discipline to her role, de
manding the best of students. Miss Whyte expected all
she encountered to maintain a high level of decorum
and respect. Because of her dedication, she spent endless
evenings working after regular hours.
Students as well helped maintain the school’s prom
inent reputation. Their participation in sports and ac
dents’ lives.
