SNOW DAYS
he Blizzard of ’93 taught the people of CBA the meaning of a snow
day. To some students, snow days were a time to sleep the day away
and watch The Price is Right. To others, snow days were a time to
hit the slopes at the old mountain. Basically, snow days were a time to relax and
kick back on the couch. Those who had that little kid in them went out and
built a castle in the snow or a snowman. Another great thing to do on snow
days was to put together a big game of winter football. That was a great way
to pass time and have fun. A nice snowball fight was also fun to have on snow
days.
Here at school, the majority of the population liked to bundle up and sleep
until the snow melted. Students seemed to be in a state of hibernation on snow
days. What students have wondered is what the Brothers did on snow days. Did
they go outside and build snowmen? Did they go hit the slopes? Did they have
a gigantic game of football with other Brothers? How the Brothers occupied
themselves was a great question for students to ponder while relaxing on snow
days.
Teachers are always ready to give a helping hand. A student listens while Mrs. Killion helps her.
M any students worry about how fellow students might copy their answers on an assignment. John Dillon carefully covers his work to make sure no one else sees it.
