rnprecedemeci participation in Winter Week, the booming of the Chess Club, the revitalization of the P&G and, of course, the new look of the yearbook were all visible marks of a current at CBA: one which caught students up in a frenzy of activities.
'I'his was the year that CBA activities came into their own. Without exception they were overwhelmingly successful. From Public Speaking to Math Team, from the National Honor Soci ety to the Sacco Singers, CBA students show'ed their talent and determination to excel.
The Public Speaking Team was one of the strongest CBA has ever had. It dominated CNYCL competition in virtually all cate- itories. In a similar fashion, the Math Team ruled the number
score in Syracuse. The Chess Club enjoyed a huge growth as chess sw'ept through CBA overnight and gained immediate and universal popularity. The National Honor Society saw drastic changes as it became an active part of CBA functions and pro grams. The Booster Club, Band, and the Sacco Singers were always there to liven any gathering.
'I'his is a reflection on the spirit of the CBA student. It shows desire to lend a hand, a willingness to give time to an activity, and the honesty and stamina to carry out what they get started. This attitude cannot but make CBA proud of its students and the job they have done.
