About Mr. Riordan; what can be said? Everybody knows he's a great coach! Some of the team standouts were:
Tony Basil and Ken McCormick in the 440; Steve Vavonese in the 100; Ken Moliski, John Fhelan, Dan Brownell, and Bob Carsky, distance runners; Bing Ferris and Phil Houde, hurdles; Gene Aikens in the long jump, Mark
Domanico and Phil Kruczkowski in the shotput, and Steve Gray in the pole
vault, highlighted the field events.

what can you say about a track team that never loses? The 1972 Spring Track and Field team came pretty close. They copped top honors in virtually every compe tition of the season. With a large number of returning members, the team made its usual showing in the running events, and, with the help of Mr. Pappas, held
its own in the field events.
