 The 1996-1997 CBA Brothers basketball team defied all odds last year by winning the New York Class C State Championship. All year long the team motto was “Unity” , and that is what led the team to Glens Falls. Led by seniors Jeff Segar, Joe Leone, and Sean Anderson, the Brothers accom­ plished a basketball first for CBA.
In Glens Falls the team defeated W aterviliet and Lyons in the tournament to be crowned champi­ ons. Although the Brothers lost the Federation Game to Salesian of Long Island by three points, the season was one to remember. This set of elev­ en players have started a dynasty for CBA bas­ ketball players which will hopefully continue for years to come.
