Indoor track team this year is un usually small, with only four com peting varsity runners, ffowever, each of these four has a good chance of placing high in their event at sec tionals. The varsity team members are seniors Paul Feliu, Joerg Kunzel, and Matt Demlein, as well as junior Derek Seward. The team will have its chance to compete against the best in New York State when they attend the En gineer Invitational at R.P.I. in January.
short on numbers, was not
Oshort on talent. While the
team only recorded one victory, over
Bishop Grimes, when it came to the
post season, CBA fared well. Senior
Pat Sears won the sectional for the
400 meter championship, and Junior
Matthew Demlein won the metro
league 800 meter championship, cap
ping off an undefeated season for him
in the 800. CBA's future looks bright
with the team only losing two Seniors
and with returning Matthew Demlein
and 100 meter runner, Derek Seward;
hurdler, Joel Bialeck; and sprinter,
Adam Purcell.

ing in sectionals this year. The team
finished 11th in the tough class c-d
division. The future looks even bright
er for the squad, with Sophomore Tom
Sweeny, Junior Derek Seward, and
fabulous Freshmen Mike Seely, Jeff
Laguza, and Jim O'Connor, all re
turning next year. The team which has
become one of the largest at CBA,
expects to attract new runners as well
as the old.
