The ideal Senior schedule would give Seniors
a tree period at the end of each day and allow

time. Typically, Seniors would use this unstruc­
tured time in one of three ways.
Some Seniors would take the opportunity to
work longer hours at their job to earn more
money tor college or social activities. Others
would use the extra time to get a jump on their
homework. This would leave Seniors more time
for talking on the phone or watching T.V. in
the evenings. I believe, however, that the ma­
jority of Seniors would use early dismissal to
simply relax and have tun with their friends.
Seniors might go to Shoppingtown or out to
eat during this unstructured time. For most stu­

dents, especially those involved in after-school
sports, this might be the only time during the
week when they can go out with their friends.
The main purpose would be to relax and es­
cape from the stressful environment of school.
