 The First Day of Class
Whether you were an incoming seventh grader this year, or a re
turning senior, September 10 was a very important day. Not only was
it the first day of school, but it was the first day of a new year: a
chance for every student and teacher to start from the beginning, and
to begin with a fresh slate.
The first day of school can also be described as a fashion show, with
"models" wearing new outfits from various stores around town. It is
also the time to get in a frantic summary of the summer's events, all
that could possibly happen in three months, before your teacher calls
you to attention.
For everyone, the first day of school is an important day, no matter
how many times you have experienced it. As a senior I have been through
it far too many times, so I am an expert on the matter.
Seventh graders bewildered by their first day of school, believe me,
it gets easier, and a lot less nerve-racking. By your Senior year, you
too, will be a pro!

Smiles were common among
junior high students. Brigit Ryan,
Sarah Martin, and Rickeyta Ho
ward have the right idea as they
realize another day has come
to a close.
Plenty can be said about class
togetherness. Juniors, Brett
Sahm, Richard Masterpol, Ja
son Leone, Adam Gasiorowski,
Dave Giamartino and Pete Ros-
somano, look forward to the
memories they will have in the
coming year.
