Juniors Pay to Say “I Want My MTV” .
In millions of homes across America, the hottest thing on the tube for the past three years has been Music Television.

In light of this, many music re viewers are critical of MTV’s re cent monopoly of music. Many say that the musical quality has recently suffered since more em phasis is put on the visual aspect than the song itself. But Ted Borsky, another Junior, com mented: “ MTV is a total waste. Groups like Motley Crue and Twisted Sister haye no aesthetic musical quality at all.’’ Some people object to the excessive amount of violence and sexual overtones which many of the vid eos present.
Others do not; junior Pete Shepardson, said: “ I love the gratuitous sex and violence” .
Despite this, MTV remains the most exciting and popular medi um for musical expression among the musically enthused CBA student today.

to find a teenager who has not

Music Video is just what the game. MTV combines both sight

Many of today’s more popular
bands owe their success to MTV. Groups such as The Fixx, Duran Duran, and Men at Work were unknown to the American music market when MTV first in troduced these bands to its vast audience.
