forthcoming objections. The Mock Tri al is a strategic and analytical activi- tiy. Manning observed that “ It’s the ability to think quickly which makes the activity so useful.”
Mock Trial, which is sponsored by the New York State Bar Association, is set up like any other court. Each team supplies witnesses and law yers, while the NYSBA supplies the fictitious case and the judge, who de
termines the final outcome. The team is judged on preparation and profes sionalism.
This year’s team lacked exper ience, but was led by John DeFran- cisco and Tom Dadey. The team members devoted much time and ef fort to the investigation and work in volved in their criminal cases. Mock Trial “Ain’t No Free Lunch” but a commitment to justice.
