How do you go about organizing an activity which has plenty of criteria about getting in, but none about what you do afterwards? What do you do for an activity that requires you to be in the top of your class for 2 14 years, but says nothing about what performance you should demonstrate once having made it in? The answers to these and other questions about National Honor Society are vague and unclear, and vary accord ing to who you talk to.
What is the experience here at CBA? Once again, the answer varies from year to year. Some years have been more active than others — depending on the personalities of those involved. This years society has been somewhat low key. Their primary emphasis has been on organizing the Honors Nights at Temple Adath Yeshurun. Some individ ual members have been involved in tutor ing, but as senior Mike Herring ob served: “ It’s more a recognition of what
you have done than in what you will do.”
Gregg Bell Is the picture of anticipation as he awaits the beginning of the spring induction ceremony.
