There was a friend that we all know, who shines white light and wants to show, how everything still turns to gold. And, if you listen very long, the truth will find itself at last, where All are one is Ali . ..

Nothing is more difficult to understand than the death
of a young person. John Davies’ tragic death on No
vember 27, 1982 left the C B A Community shocked and
bereft. He was a good son, brother and friend. His
contributions to the CBA Community were character
ized by a quiet, pleasant and efficient manner — so
typical of John. His presence at the Bookstore each
morning and afternoon was a reassuring constant. His
participation in football and track was not surprising to
those who knew him well. He was after all, a team
player in everything he did.
It was easy to feel comfortable around John; and
nothing made this fact more evident than the large
number of students and faculty who gathered to say a
final good-bye to a special individual.
