opened its own checking account, the Booster Club was
brought under the direction of the Student Senate, and the
Senate also redesigned Winter Week. Realizing the prob­
lems that underclassmen have with transportation, com­
petition in Winter Week was reduced from the usual five
days to four. New categories were also added, such as
Racquetball and Art, to include a greater number of partici­
pants.
“Our goal,” said Senate President Chris Edwards,
“between Mike, Brian, Tommy, and myself was to be
innovators in the hopes that the future years would also
benefit.”
While Edwards and his Committee’s task was a diffi­
cult one, their contributions were important enough to
allow their term to be favorably assessed by those who
observed them.
