Five-hundred-and-ninety total miles, one-hundred-and-twenty eighth graders, three days, two Coach buses, and one unforgettable trip. From reenacting Pickett's Charge to the nighttime ghost tours, the highlight of every eighth grader's year is going to Gettysburg, PA with Ms. Feldmeth and fellow classmates.
Through museum visits, guided tours, and Ms. Feldmeth's
teachings, each eighth-grader leaves Gettysburg with a
broader knowledge of the Civil War era.
During their trip, students have the opportunity to visit historical sites related to the Battle of Gettysburg. As a class, the eighth grade storms the battlefield in a reenactment of
Pickett's Charge.
