Hello Region 1 Members,

As I reread my article from the Spring issue of T&S, I found myself wishing that what I had hoped for
would have come true! The pandemic continues to get in our way, but thankfully we have a terrific
technical team that has been able to bring you a myriad of wonderful classes and events virtually. And to
think that most of us hadn’t even heard of Zoom at the beginning of this year!

I want to give a shout out to Boston Skyline Chorus. The team that was beginning to plan this year’s Fall
Regional Weekend did a great job of lining up vendors, and they had come up with a really fun theme.
I’m so sorry we won’t be able to gather in Framingham next month to show our “Yo Ho Ho Harmony”
spirit! Instead, however, our education team has assembled a fabulous line up of virtual classes that will
take place the weekend of September 25-27. All of that information will be sent out in the weeks to
come.

For my part, I have not been in touch with our hotel for Winter Regional Weekend, in hopes that we
WILL be able to get together. That is scheduled for January 22-24 at the Springfield Sheraton, and Mary
Rhea is the guest faculty. Let’s all keep our fingers crossed!!
