Martha’s House & Gatewood
Martha’s House provides seven apartments for
homeless mothers and their children. Families
are welcomed into their fully-furnished apartment that immediately feels like home.
Volunteers donate furniture, bedding, towels and everything else the family will need while living with NSO and to take with them after their stay.
This two-year life skills program helps women prepare for the transition into independent living. The mothers attend weekly meetings to learn valuable skills that they can carry with them all their lives. Residents must also be in school or employed full time to stay at Martha’s House.
Gatewood provides four apartments for homeless pregnant mothers or homeless mothers with one child. Just like Martha’s House, families are welcomed into a fully-furnished apartment and can stay with NSO for up to two years. These mothers also attend weekly life skills classes and must be in school or employed full time.
“Baby Graham and I are so thankful for the support and care we received from NSO. We truly have a family at NSO’s Gatewood.” -Jessica, Resident
