Illuminate your space
A good lighting design can transform a room,
but is often overlooked. Kitchens are increasingly becoming multi-functional, so it is important to consider how you use the room. The right lighting can make a small kitchen feel larger, different colours or tones can alter the mood and feel of the space and the correct task lighting will increase comfort and efficiency.
Two or three attractive pendant lights above a dining table will help differentiate the dining space from the kitchen’s work area. Styles range from traditional industrial shapes to modern, more muted designs. You could try a cut out design which will add texture and interest to the room. Hang pendants low over the dining table, or position them high over kitchen islands.
   Convenience lighting
Convenience lighting is used to illuminate cupboards and drawers or to provide some background lighting to show the way to the fridge for those midnight snacks! Create the appearance of a floating island with under worktop LED lighting or illuminate at plinth level.
Mood lighting
Mood lighting is generally soft and unobtrusive. Used to produce subtle decorative effects under worktops or at plinth level or perhaps above cupboards, if your room has a high or feature ceiling. Our range of Sensio furniture lighting includes fixtures with Correlated Colour Temperature (CCT), providing a seamless transition from warm to cool white. Remote control and smart technology to connect to voice activation
is also available for maximum convenience.
Task lighting
Task lighting should be positioned carefully in food preparation areas to ensure the kitchen is an efficient working space for everyday tasks.
