Directions
To Teach: Write “ss,” “ff,” and “ll” on the whiteboard. Read to
the child: When reading SS, FF, and LL, you pronounce only a
single S, F, or L sound. Have the child tap the letters “ss” on the
whiteboard and say “/s/” several times. Repeat for “ff” and “ll.”
• Have the child practice reading the words until they can be read
without hesitation.
