Why donate?
For more than 15 decades, Unisa has provided all people with access to education, irrespective of race, colour, creed or geography. During the apartheid era, we broke down barriers through interracial education and played a significant role in offering education to political prisoners – including Nelson Mandela – preparing them for leadership positions they hold in society today.
As the largest university on the continent and a pioneer in open distance learning, we draw inspiration from our history and vision. Our current mission is to become the African university shaping futures in the service of humanity.
Our commitment to social justice and excellence with integrity drives us. We prioritise all while ensuring that we produce excellence in scholarship and research. When joining us, you contribute to expanding opportunities for students from all countries and walks of life, shaping futures not only for our students, but also for our country, our continent and beyond.
What are your donations used for?
Your support of Unisa is crucial for the University. By contributing to the University, you empower our brightest students to thrive in their studies, regardless of their financial circumstances. Thanks to the alumni more than 300 students with outstanding tuition fees have been able to graduate since 2022.

Go to: Donate University of South Africa and choose a worthy project to donate towards Alumni can also pay a monthly fee towards the alumni association.
