• If you are a re-registering student, you will not need to follow this process if your myLife and Unisa passwords are still active.
• You will be prompted to provide your student number and Unisa password whenever you want to access any of the library’s services or resources.

3. SERVICES FOR POSTGRADUATE STUDENTS
To access the library website, go to https://www.unisa.ac.za/sites/corporate/ default/Library or click on the library link on the myUnisa site.
Scroll down the page until just below the Library Announcements, where you will find various links to library services for different client categories. Click on Services for Postgraduate Students to access the services and resources that are available to you.
Information about general library services can be accessed via the Library Services link on the left-hand side of the page.
4. BORROWING LIBRARY MATERIAL
Master’s and doctoral students may borrow up to 16 books at a time. Students living in South Africa can keep their books for 42 days, unless the books are in the Postal Collection. In this case, a shorter loan period is granted. Students living outside South Africa are advised to make use of electronic book material.
It is important to ensure that you return your books on time, to avoid having to pay a fine.
5. REQUESTING AND RENEWING LIBRARY MATERIAL
The preferred method of requesting a book is:
• Electronically https://oasis.unisa.ac.za and select Book Requests under the My
Library tab. Sign on using your student number and Unisa password; fill in the details of your book and submit your request.
