College Highlights • The school of computing was ranked 5th out of 23 universities in terms of computing research output per institution (patterns of research production and the publication, collaboration and impact of South African computing research) • UNISA (CSET) has of cially been granted a right to host both the 8th International Water Association (IWA) Natural Organic matter (NOM) and IWA Particle Separation Conference in 2021. This con rms that CSET is a signi cant contributor internationally in water research. Teaching and learning Successes • 11 new quali cations now have SAQA registration, which means that the college will be able to offer these in Jan 2020. • 15 SoE programmes have been accredited by ECSA in March 2019 • 8 programmes reviewed in 2019 • College developed minimum teaching and learning standards • Ms Dalize van Heerden won an award at the College Teaching and Learning Festival in June 2019. • She was as a runner up for the category of Excellence in Student Support at the Institutional Teaching and Learning Festival in October 2019. 2
