DUCTILE IRON POLES
Copper theft is increasingly an issue for utilities,
and a lost ground can be a public safety issue.
Keep in mind that DI poles are conductive so no
ground wire is required to run the length of the
pole. AEP tested a common distribution pole size
and found that DI poles are more conductive than
a 4/0 copper wire.
McWane has completed the following testing
of their product to give their customers an
understanding of how it may perform in certain
situations.
