Faces of RIMPAC

U.S. Air Force Staff Sgt. Abegail Limon, is the non- commissioned officer in charge of food safety and sanitation and a public health technician with the 15th Operational Medical Readiness Squadron. She has the critical role of inspecting all food in support of Exercise Rim of the Pacific (RIMPAC) 2024, ensuring they meet the highest safety stan- dards. She is originally from Las Vegas, Nev., and it’s her first time participating in RIMPAC. Twenty- nine nations, 40 surface ships, three submarines, 14 national land forces, more than 150 aircraft, and 25,000 personnel are participating in RIMPAC in and around the Hawaiian Islands, June 27 to Aug. 1. The world’s largest international maritime exercise, RIMPAC provides a unique training op- portunity while fostering and sustaining coopera- tive relationships among participants critical to ensuring the safety of sea lanes and security on the world’s oceans. RIMPAC 2024 is the 29th exer- cise in the series that began in 1971.
