Entry Fee: $3.00 per entry
Limit: One (1) entry per class per exhibitor (space available)
Exhibits Received: Saturday, Aug. 10th, 9 a.m. – 8 p.m.
Must have display completed and exhibitor must be out of the building by 8 p.m. or display may be disqualified Exhibits Released: Monday, Aug. 31st, 2 - 7 p.m.
American System of Judging
GENERAL RULES FOR ANTIQUE GLASS, CHINA & ACCESSORIES
1. The management reserves the right to reject displays that are not neatly done.
2. Quality is defined as the condition of items, rarity of form or completeness of sets and scope of display.
3. Locked cases approximately 2’ x 4’ x 2’ will be provided. Liner sizes are back 483⁄4” x 20”, bottom 483⁄4x 211⁄2, and sides
211⁄2 x 20” The type of case will be the decision of the management. RULES:
1. At least 50% of exhibit must be articles never shown before at the Antelope Valley Fair.
2. All items entered in competition must be owned by the exhibitor or their immediate family.
3. LABELING - Items in each display should be labeled as to maker, date and pattern if applicable. A single label for a set is
acceptable. Labeling points are won for legibility, correct identification and correct spelling.
4. SHOWMANSHIP - Displaying item in an attractive manner, background material covering back, sides and bottom
is required. Objects related to display, such as old posters, postcards and artifacts, to hold viewers’ attention are
encouraged.
5. Judges’ ruling is final, and judges are expected to judge consistently throughout the show.
6. No exhibitor names are to be displayed during the judging and NO ADVERTISING is to be displayed during the show. 7. Husband, and/or wife are considered ONE EXHIBITOR.
8. Antiques are items dating fifty (50) years or older.
9. If an exhibitor is accepted and given a case but does not participate, they will be put on a waiting list the following year
and not receive a case until all other applicants have received a case. PREMIUMS OFFERED PER CLASS: 1st - $15 2nd - $10 3rd - $5 Division Winners are selected from the first-place winners in each division. Best of Show will be selected from Division Winners.
